December 2007

Digett wishes you, your friends and loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We witnessed the Rockettes put on their annual Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular on a weekend trip to New York last month.  The City is absolutely beautiful this time of year, and there's no better place to be swallowed up by the anticipation of Christmas.  More NY pics here.

Ignore the Human Condition at Your Own Risk

Ignore the Human Condition at Your Own Risk

In college I studied economics, so my textbooks never mentioned the "Four P's" that the marketing students were reading about. This didn't stop me, though, from plunging head-first into marketing in one of my first jobs after graduation.  I learned quickly about the "P's", but things have changed a lot since then.  Or have they?

Corporate Email Solutions Keep Getting Better

We've always provided a quality email hosting solution for our customers.  But now we've partnered with a couple of new providers to offer some significant improvements, including:

  • Enhanced webmail interface.  Reading and writing emails online should be a pleasant experience, and an improved user interface can make all the difference.  One of our new solutions offers a super-slick Outlook-style interface that also allows calendar and task collaboration among a firm's employees... way cool!
  • Much more space for the money.  Having more space -- 1GB, 10GB, and even 100GB at an affordable rate -- means you can store a copy of your email archives online practically indefinitely, making even old messages accessible anytime, anywhere.
  • Search.  Quickly tear through thousands of archived messages to instantly find whatever you are looking for.
  • Improved spam control and virus scanning.  I have always been skeptical of spam filters, but these these new services seem to be finally getting it right.
  • 25 MB attachments possible.  Try that with your local ISP... not!
  • Unlimited email aliases.  Set up multiple email addresses -- all pointing to a single mailbox -- and use one or more for those times when you have to supply an email address to prevent being spammed at your "real" address.
  • SSL Encryption.  SSL stands for secure socket layer, and means that hackers can't "eavesdrop" on your email as it travels between your browser and your mail server.
  • 99.99% uptime service level.  The importance of this speaks for itself, but we've been surprised to find out that it can't be taken for granted.

If you're hobbling along with an email account provided by your local ISP or some other "budget" provider, step up to a solution that will make your life easier and your employees more productive.
